Waterline tiles & interior finishes

The finish you choose sets the colour of your water. Shades of blue or green are all influenced by the interior finish. These colours come from either a tile or an aggregate, and we'll walk you through both.

Fully tiled finish

A luxurious finish with the widest range of colours.

A fully tiled pool uses glass mosaic tiles in a large range of colours. Choose a light tile for a soft, Mediterranean green, or a darker metallic tile for a sophisticated, moody look. There is a tile to suit almost any style.

Why homeowners choose it

  • Design flexibility. A greater variety of colours to complement your aesthetic.

  • A luxurious feel underfoot. The smooth finish is comfortable for bare feet.

  • Durable and easy to maintain. It stands up to constant use and changes in water chemistry, and the smooth surface is easier to clean than aggregate.

What to know:

Tiling every surface is a larger investment than a rendered finish, so it's worth deciding early which look matters most to you. Best suited to: Contemporary, resort & Mediterranean designs, and anyone after a premium finish.

Rendered finish

A smooth, colourful finish that's kind to your budget.

A rendered finish such as glass bead aggregate also offers a wide choice of water colours. Varying the percentage and colour of the glass beads gives you plenty of variety.

Why homeowners choose it

  • Budget friendly. A custom water colour without the cost of a fully tiled pool.

  • A smooth look and feel. Comfortable underfoot.

  • Guaranteed never to fade. The colour stays true over time.

What to know:

Pebble aggregate is another option. It gives a traditional finish at an affordable price, though the feel underfoot differs from glass bead. Best suited to: Family pools, renovations and projects where budget is a priority.
